ALTON — Mississippi Valley Christian School students earned nine state championships in the annual Illinois Association of Christian Schools Academic and Fine Arts Competition in Schaumburg on March 16-17. Winners included Olivia Allen in Landscape Photography and Oral Interpretation of Scripture Speech; Tommy Kunz in Accounting and U.S. History Knowledge; Gray Sapp in Old Testament Bible Knowledge; Jessica Snyder in Polychromatic Drawing; and Timothy Vaughn in Creative Poetry Writing, Expository Essay Writing and Humorous Interpretation Speech.
