Schaumburg Township District Library is excited to host prolific sculptor Richard Hunt in an online conversation with art historian Jeff Mishur on Saturday, Sept. 17. While Schaumburg Library celebrates its 60th anniversary this September, 2022 also marks 20 years that its Central Library at 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, has been home to the "Open Book" statue created by Chicago artist Richard Hunt. Hunt has public commissions all over the Chicago area and the United States, including The Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, The Chicago Cultural Center, Ravinia Festival, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and other locations.
